We view every project as a unique opportunity. Our flexible design process begins with listening. Your style, vision, way of life, and likes and dislikes are carefully considered as we explore creative, functional design alternatives that are in keeping with the architectural style and materials of your home and the regional environment. We then collaborate further with you before synthesizing a final design. By listening and working together, we can create unique, personal environments that make the most of your space and become an integral, intimate extension of your home.

process2client involvement

Communication is a fundamental design skill. We believe that knowing how to both listen and question is critical to a thorough understanding of the client’s needs and goals. This understanding is an essential part of a successful design and is used as a continuing check throughout the evolution of each project. We will educate you on the many design possibilities but approach your project as a partnership and involve you in every step of the design and its implementation.

process3environment & sustainability

We feel a moral obligation to ensure that our designs are appropriate for both the site and the Rocky Mountain region. Proper selection of plant materials and grouping of plants based on sun and water needs is vital to the success and sustainability of a beautiful landscape, especially in Colorado’s challenging climate. We advocate soil amendments, mulching, low flow irrigation, and minimizing irrigated sod areas to reduce water consumption.

We offer a construction implementation option through GTO Landscaping, Inc. which allows us to monitor construction at critical points and act as your liaison to make revisions as needed. This allows us to control the entire process from its initial vision to the finished product to ensure your project is built according to the design intent. Through coordination and communication we can eliminate many of the typical problems of the design and construction process.
